The TMP-ALJ SATP is a partnership between TMP and ALJ or Abdul Latif Jameel Co., Ltd., Toyota’s exclusive distributor in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The TMP-ALJ SATP began in 2010 as an 18-month training program for qualified graduates of the Toyota Technical Education Program (T-TEP) partner schools. Coming from a stringent selection process, successful candidates then underwent extensive training on various Toyota Technician and Pro-Technician technical courses, as well as on-the-job training at Toyota dealerships. Just like the first batch of graduates, the second batch will be employed by different ALJ centers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as automotive technicians.

With the growing demand for highly-skilled Filipino automotive technicians, Toyota shall strengthen its partnership with ALJ by turning over this program to the Toyota Motor Philippines School of Technology, Inc. (TMP Tech) starting next year. TMP Tech is envisioned to become a human resource developmental hub to serve the regional and global Toyota network. TMP president Michinobu Sugata (9th from left) formally turned over the twenty-seven (27) graduates to the acting director of ALJ’s national service division Ragavendra Aswatnarayana (10th from left).
